6 Resorts In 4 Days : Why St Lucia Is A Dream Vacation
With honeymoons and romantic trips as one of my specialties it only fitting that St Lucia has become one of my top booking destinations. St Lucia is a beautiful small Caribbean Island that is known for its stunning views; thanks to the famous Pitons. In just one trip you can enjoy the mountains and beach all in one. The island Is not in the hurricane belt which makes it that much more desirable. The island is filled with generous people, delicious food (they specialize in Indian cuisine), and vacation spots that will leave you relaxed and not wanting to leave.
That being said, I finally decided it was time to experience the amazing luxury resorts, that so many of my clients have loved and enjoyed, for my own. Last Sunday, with my passport in hand, I jetted off to the beautiful picturesque Caribbean Island, St Lucia. I was fortunate enough to experience 6 stunning resorts.
Below, in no specific order (actually the order I visited them in), is my detailed experience of each on these six amazing resorts.
Pro tip : When you land in St Lucia your driver will take you to your resort. Since St Lucia is basically a giant mountain, the roads are rough. If you get car sick I would recommend looking into a helicopter. This might sound grand, however helicopters are fairly affordable in St Lucia and most of the resorts have helicopter pads.
Jade Mountain
Upon my arrival to Jade Mountain I was greeted with a delicious welcome drink, my butler, and a manager. We walked over these amazing bridges that take you to your room. Jade Mountain sits on a mountain that overlooks the ocean on one side and the two famous Pitons on the other. It is like no other view on the entire island. I was lucky enough to stay in their Galaxy Room. When I entered into my room I not only got goosebumps but it did quite literally take my breathe away. I can 100% say it is absolutely worth the value. I have never experienced that kind of “wow” moment before, from a room, and I have been to over 50 countries! All the rooms in Jade Mountain are the open room concept. Meaning you are missing a wall or two. In my case I was missing two walls. I had a plunge pool (yes in my room) that over looked the ocean and my bed over looked the stunning Pitons. Every morning I woke up to a rainbow (no joke). To top it all off, every room comes with a butler at Jade Mountain. Which is why you never have to leave your room the entire time your there. However, if you feel the need to get out you can bop down to Jade Mountain’s sister resort Anse Chastanet. Anse Chastanet has a beach, many restaurants, and fun bar. I highly recommend going to the beach bar and having their delicious burger! Jade Mountain really is the best of both worlds. Stunning views, beach access, many restaurants, and your own private plunge pool!

Anse Chastanet
Anse Chastanet, as mentioned above, is Jade Mountain’s sister resort. Anse Chastanet is located right below Jade Mountain and is right on the beach. In my opinion Anse Chastanet is a hidden gem. The vibe is a fun play on the Caribbean culture. Each room has a stunning view and you can open your room up and enjoy the tropical breeze. It is more of a social atmosphere as compared to Jade Mountain. You have many restaurants, lots of excursions, all while enjoying the fabulous service that they have to offer. Just sit on your beach chair raise your flag and someone will be by your side in minutes to take your order. If you are a big snorkeler Anse Chastanet beach has one of the most famous spots for snorkeling. Boats come in all over the island to go snorkel here. However, don’t fret, it doesn’t get very crowded at all. If you are looking for a more relaxed chill vibe but still living in luxury Anse Chastanet is the perfect fit for you.
Ladera
Ladera is also perched high on a mountain, but what is so great about Ladera’s view is that it sits right in between the two Pitons. It is not only an amazing view of the ocean but you also have the breathtaking Piton right next to you. Every room at Ladera has its own private pool and is also the open room concept. One of the small details that I think makes Ladera so special is that the pools have a wooden swing that sits over them. You can sit with your legs dangling in the pool, enjoy a cocktail, all while taking in the amazing view. Ladera also has a communal pool, a delicious restaurant, and a hiking trail that you can access right from the property. A great spot to get engaged! If you do book Ladera you have to keep in mind that you don’t have direct beach access. You can take a 10-15 min drive down to Sugar Beach to access their beach. Which is why I like to recommend to pair Ladera with Sugar Beach with each other so you can experience the best of both worlds.

Sugar Beach
Sugar Beach is right below Ladera and sits right on the beach. Fun Fact! Sugar Beach is the only white sand beach on the entire island. You really get that white sand beautiful Caribbean vibe that you dream of here. When you arrive, you are greeted with a delicious coconut drink, a cool spa towel, and then hop on a golf cart to take you to your accommodations. Sugar Beach has a European vibe to it. Each room also has its own pool and their rooms have many different set ups to fit your needs. In addition to all of this you have many restaurants and bars to pick from, a large beautiful pool, and many excursions. The spa at Sugar Beach was hands down my favorite. It is beautiful and each spa room feels like a tree house. If you are looking for an amazing beach and spa then Sugar Beach is the spot for you! When you picture a Caribbean resort, Sugar Beach is truly what I imagine.

Marigot Bay Resort, Spa, and Marina
When arriving to Marigot Bay Resort, Spa, and Marina I couldn’t help but gawk at the luxurious amazing mega yachts chilling by the resort. Marigot Bay sits on a marina and is a fun relaxed environment that is perfect for kids and families. Marigot Bay is the only resort that doesn’t offer an all-inclusive package. However, Marigot Bay has many dining options off property that are worth going to. The resort sits on a marina, has a large pool, and with a quick hop on a boat you can go across the marina over to the beach. This ferry is free with the resort. In addition to this, there are water taxis that can take you to the different restaurants around the area. Right next to the property was the coolest beach bar that I have ever been to. It had a very relaxed vibe where the locals hung out, the mega yacht owners chilled, and the resort goers also visited. It over looked the water and had the best happy hour special on the island. In addition to this, Marigot Bay had an amazing restaurant, a very cool rum bar, and the service was truly outstanding. My room had more of a traditional hotel vibe compared to the others. It had a kitchenette, a large sitting area, and a hot tub. The spa at Marigot Bay was beautiful. Each spa room was like a little hut sitting in tropical paradise. I would recommend Marigot Bay for families and folks wanting to experience more of a local vibe.
Cap Maison Resort and Spa
The perfect spot for an engagement followed by a Champagne zip line.
When pulling up to Cap Maison I felt like I had just arrived to a beautiful Spanish estate. I was greeted with a glass of champagne and a friendly hello by the general manager. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the Honeymoon Suites. Which is huge! My room was two stories, had a kitchenette, large living area, two bathrooms, and a Jacuzzi tub outside that over looked the ocean. Cap Maison has many different room arrangements which is also perfect for families. I got to see another room that is the perfect set up for a family of 2 adults, 3 kids, and if you want your parents to come with, there is another room that you can reserve right across the hallway. Some of the rooms have private pools, however if you don’t get a private pool no worries! Cap Maison also has a pool that overlooks the ocean and beach access. You do walk down 98 steps to get to the beach but when you get there you are greeted by a small beautiful quaint beach. The beach bar and restaurant, The Naked Fisherman, was one of my favorites! You had lunch (or dinner) right where the waves crashed. Another wonderful detail that stood out to me about Cap Maison, is the resort has all these surprising hidden spots that you can enjoy; like a hammock or a chair swing nestled under a tree to watch the sunset. It almost feels like your secret spot.
Pro Tip : If you are looking to propose, Cap Maison has an AMAZING spot to do it! They have built a private structure that sits over the ocean that you can rent. In addition, they can send you champagne down in a zip line!
